- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is sole source to Guildline Instruments Limited, 21 Gilroy Street, Ontario, Canada. The U.S. Army Test, Measurement an diagnostics Equipment Activity (USATA), located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, has a requirement to acquire factory-calibration for a quantity of nine (9) each Model 6622A, Resistance Bridges manufactured by Guildline Instruments of Smith Falls, Ontario, Canada. Each of the resistance bridge units are located at nine worksites within the continental United States, Europe and Korea. The contractor shall furnish all labor, diagnostic software, hardware, documentation, schematics, tooling and return shipping of each of the nine resistance bridges to the originating USATA locations. Calibration of each unit shall be accomplished at the contractor's facilities. The contractor and government shall mutually agree that the nine units shall not be shipped to the factor at one time, but in intervals. Each unit will be shipped by the TMDE Support Center (TSC) at three (3) week intervals as specified by the contractor. The contractor is responsible for scheduling these intervals and notifying the government TSCs by email (POC addresses attached) with shipment schedule for each unit by serial number. The contractor shall provide each location with a Return Authorization Number (RAN) for each unit requiring calibration. The contractor shall also provide any additional instructions to the government TSC point of contact (POC) as required. The contractor shall require, in the notification email, confirmation of receipt by the government POC at each location. Upon completion of calibration for each unit, the contractor shall return the unit to the origination TSC address. All units shall be returned-shipped to the point of origin (TSC) at the contractor's expense via standard commercial shipping. Exception: Serial numbers 69138 (Korea) and 69161 (Germany) shall be returned-shipped to U.S. Army TMDE Activity (USATA), W80RA6, Building 5435, Fowler Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5000. USATA shall be responsible for the cost of shipment of these two units from Redstone Arsenal to Korea and Germany, respectively. Contact Jacqueline D.
