- ATTENTION FEDERAL AGENCY CUSTOMERS CAR SHARING CUSTOMER AGENCY MEETING GSA is pursuing an array of car sharing initiatives to help federal agencies reduce costs, improve service and optimize their use of vehicles. GSA issued a Request for Information (RFI) in search of car sharing best practices and innovations that will allow agencies to focus on their core missions. In the coming months, GSA will launch a car sharing pilot program in Washington DC, New York City, Boston, and Chicago to immediately begin exploring how car sharing can work across multi-federal agencies in large metropolitan cities. The goal is to drive agency cost savings while simultaneously allowing the agency to focus resources on their mission instead of ancillary services that GSA can provide more efficiently. GSA's goal is to help all agencies explore if car sharing is effective and under what circumstances can an agency achieve success. GSA is hosting a Customer Agency Meeting on November 21, 2013 from 1 - 4:00pm EST. The meeting will be held at our offices 1800 F St NW, Washington, DC.
