- SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY: This is a Sources Sought request for information to be used for market research purposes only. The Government is conducting market research to assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy and potential set-asides. The Government is seeking responses from small businesses capable of performing the required services. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE or PROPOSAL. Responses to this announcement are not considered quotes or offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. This notice will close Monday, January 12 at 1100 AM Pacific. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Joint Base Lewis-McChord has an anticipated requirement for musician services contract(s) for a period up to 3 years, and performed at various chapels located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Washington State. Four separately awardable contract positions are contemplated as follows: (1) Protestant congregation at JBLM ChapelNext services at Four Chaplains Memorial Chapel - Musician to play either piano or organ furnished by the Government for Sunday worship services and Wednesday evening rehearsals, and to operate sound board. Qualifications: The contractor shall or shall provide personnel who have done the following:. Demonstrated ability to play satisfactorily the identified instrument(s) (piano and/or organ) available to the congregation. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a choir in worship. Demonstrated ability to play satisfactorily all selections in the Armed Forces Hymnal and other hymnals and/or song books designated by the Pastor. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English for coordination with the Pastor and/or his/her designated Worship Leader and for satisfactory completion of the administrative tasks required of a contractor. (2) Protestant congregation at JBLM Main Chapel and for liturgical services at Soldiers Chapel - Musician to play either piano or organ furnished by the Government for Sunday worship services, Wednesday evening rehearsals, and occasional memorial services. Qualifications: The contractor shall or shall provide personnel who have done the following:. Demonstrated ability to play satisfactorily the identified instrument(s) (piano and/or organ) available to the congregation. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a choir in worship. Demonstrated ability to play satisfactorily all selections in the Armed Forces Hymnal and other hymnals and/or song books designated by the Pastor. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English for coordination with the Pastor and/or his/her designated Worship Leader and for satisfactory completion of the administrative tasks required of a contractor. (3) Protestant and Catholic congregation at the Regional Correction Facility Chapel - Musician to play either piano or organ furnished by the Government for Sunday worship services, Wednesday evening rehearsals, and occasional memorial services at all chapels at JBLM. Demonstrated ability to play satisfactorily the identified instrument(s) (piano and/or organ) available to the congregation. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a choir in worship. Demonstrated ability to play satisfactorily all selections in the Armed Forces Hymnal and other hymnals and/or song books designated by the Pastor. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English for coordination with the Pastor and/or his/her designated Worship Leader and for satisfactory completion of the administrative tasks required of a contractor. (4) Catholic congregation at JBLM Main Chapel - Musician to play piano or organ furnished by the Government for Sunday worship services, all Masses, and Wednesday evening rehearsals. Qualifications: The contractor shall or shall provide personnel who have or have done the following: Life Teen Core Member certified with a minimum of five years experience coordinating and providing musical accompaniment for Life Teen Catholic liturgies for a military community. Demonstrated ability to play satisfactorily the identified instrument(s) (piano and/or organ) available to the congregation. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct both adult and youth choirs in worship. Demonstrated ability to play satisfactorily all selections in the Armed Forces Hymnal and other hymnals and/or song books designated by the Pastor. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English for coordination with the Senior Catholic Chaplain and for satisfactory completion of the administrative tasks required of a contractor. Responses shall be in writing and include complete contact information and a full description of experience and capability to meet the anticipated requirements. Feedback on this requirement is encouraged. The anticipated NAICS is 711130 with a Small Business Size Standard of $11 million. Interested respondents should submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 5 pages in length) clearly demonstrating the ability to perform the services listed.
