Description
Class J&A The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source delivery order under the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-12-G-0006 with the Bell Boeing Joint Project Office for the procurement of Avionics and Flight Controls, Systems Engineering and Software Maintenance Support for the V-22 aircraft. The effort includes the following: -Development, delivery and incorporation of software changes to the Tactical Software Suite (TSS) dictated by the 2017 Fleet Requirements Document (FRD) - Sustainment of Post-developmental software, including but not limited to correction of anomalies/deficiencies/issues and/or development of reliability/maintainability (R&M) improvements. - Engineering support, analysis and recommendations to prepare software corrections and R&M improvements to be contained in future software updates - Modeling, simulation and test environment/tools work required for weapon system and software sustainment This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements Bell-Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tiltrotor aircraft and is the only known source that possesses the engineering data, technical skills and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, and maintenance and support characteristics of the aircraft.
