- General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, intends to negotiate a sole source A-E procurement with AMEC Environment and Infrastructure, Incorporated, to acquire the below listed services. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The aforementioned contractor has currently performed/completed A-E pre-design, schematic design, site assessment, cost estimating and hazardous materials assessment services for a project that requires the demolition and removal of 61 structures located in nine different parks in seven states. As a result, the Government believes that the identified contractor is the "only one responsible source" as defined by FAR 6.302-01 (a)(2)(ii) for the required services. Firms that believe they can provide the required services described below are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice to the Contracting Officer. Firms believing they can provide the required services must provide supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability for the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received within 30 days of the date of Public Posting of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by e-mail to Alan Stormont - alan_stormont@nps.gov. Responses should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number and identification of business size in accordance with the size standard. Title of Project: Demolish Structures at Multiple Park Units Description: The work of these proposed contract actions consist of the preparation of design development and construction documents and to provide deconstruction-phase architect-engineer administrative services for the aforementioned project. Type of Procurement: A negotiated, A-E sole source firm-fixed price contract is anticipated.
