Description
Thermal Imaging Camera RFI THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This notice is for information and planning purposes only. In accordance with Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the Government is conducting market research to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources in providing a commercial item that meets the Government's requirements. This Request for Information (RFI) does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a competitive contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on FedBizOps website. Proprietary information will be accepted and handled appropriately. Responders should indicate which portions of their responses are proprietary and should mark them accordingly. The Government is not obligated to and will not reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. AFLCMC/HBU plans to select and qualify an Intrusion Detection System Thermal Imager Camera. Thermal Imaging Cameras can be used as either Assessment or Surveillance cameras in situations that lack lighting. The thermal imaging cameras provide the ability to perform assessment on restricted area boundaries with no artificial lighting in the area. This may be required on flight lines where light poles cannot be installed and across the airfields where distance and operations forego the use of lights. Thermal Imaging Cameras will also be used to support wide area detection to perform surveillance of approach zone alarms to identify targets and to perform surveillance of likely avenues of approach. Thermal Imaging Cameras that are procurable and sustainable for the next 5 years, or longer, are desired.
