Description

Amendment 004: The purpose of this amendment is to answer a question received during the site visit and to extend the due date for quotations. Question: Will accommodation be made to allow for inspection of the wire rope and lower limits on the 2 cranes that can lower the hooks through the floor to the levels below? Answer: If the OSHA or ACI test requires NIST to do this on an annual basis, NIST will remove the floor plugs to allow full access and travel of the crane hooks to the lower levels for complete inspection of the limits and wire rope. This type of test will be required to be completed during a scheduled shutdown when access to these controlled spaces are available. NIST will provide shutdown timeframes upon award. NIST is installing a floor decking which will impede this test in the Guidehall. A section of this decking will have to be removed to perform this test on the Guide Hall crane after March 2015. The due date for quotations is extended as follows: From: January 29, 2015 To: February 3, 2015 by 3:30 pm eastern. All other terms remain unchanged.
