Description

Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to Replace Research Building at the VA Boston Healthcare System, West Roxbury, campus, MA. Project Number 523-396. Work includes gut renovation of existing 4000SF animal space and construction of an 8000 addition to the current animal facility including general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary removal of existing and construction of certain other items. The construction cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 and the size standard is $36.5 million. Award will be based on the lowest priced technically acceptable offer to the Government. Evaluation factors will include price related factors as well as technical factors of management approach and past performance. The solicitation package will be issued on/or about February 13, 2015. The date for receipt of offers is scheduled for March 13, 2015. All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings, may be accessed for download on the date of issue at the following website http://www/fbo.gov. Any amendments to the solicitation will be posted solely on this web site. It is the responsibility of the offeror to verify the number of amendments issued. This requirement is Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) set-aside, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) may also provide a proposal. All offerors must ensure registration in SAM at http://www.sam.gov and that it is current and accurate. In addition all VOSB and SDVOSB offerors must be registered and verified in the Department of Veterans Affairs Vetbiz database at www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time the proposal is submitted and at the time of award
