- SOURCES SOUGHT: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Acquisition Resource Management (OARM) on behalf of the Office of Research and Development (ORD), National Exposure Research Lab (NERL) in Cincinnati, Ohio and under the authority of FAR Part 13; NAICS Code:541720 - Research and Development in the Social Sciences and Humanities, anticipates awarding four (4) firm fixed price purchase orders for the services specified in the attached Statements of Work (SOWs). There are attachments to the SOWs that will be provided once the solicitation is issued. It is anticipated that these studies will be done at four specific beach sites in the Great Lakes area (Washington Park Beach, MI; Ontario Beach, NY; Silver Beach, MI; and Edgewater Park, OH). It is also anticipated that four different awards will be made concurrently. The total period of performance is anticipated to last six (6) months, beginning March 1, 2015. The EPA is currently in search of a ny businesses that have experience in and are capable of performing the tasks within the attached SOW. If there are any businesses interested and capable of performing such services, you are requested to submit a capability statement via email to the Contracting Officer of record at: scott.elaine@epa.gov no later than 2:00pm EST, February 6, 2015. Please indicate your business size in your capability statement as well. NOTE: In order to do business with the Federal Government, you must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). This registration is free and can be done at: www.sam.gov. Registration confirmation takes 10-12 business days. ( NOTE: registration in SAM is not a pre-requisite to submitting capability statements, however, your registration must be completed by award date) You also must be registered in the Government Point of Entry: www.fedconnect.net (which is also free) to receive and accept any updates to this requirement. This requirem ent will also be posted on www.fbo.gov, however all attachments can only be found on FedConnect once the solicitation is posted. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. Please direct all inquiries to: scott.elaine@epa.gov. If no responses are received by 2:00pm, EST on February 6, 2015, this requirement will become Full and Open for competition. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(iv)(b), the Contracting Officer also has the discretion not to compete this requirement.
