Description

The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) and negotiate a contract on a sole-source basis to General Dynamics Advance Information Systems (GDAIS), 100 Plastics Avenue, Pittsfield, MA 01201-3698. This procurement will fulfill the ongoing FY 2016 sustainment requirements of the United States(US) and United Kingdom (UK) TRIDENT II (D5) Strategic Weapons System (SWS) SSBN Fire ControlSubsystem (FCS) and the US SSGN Attack Weapons Control System (AWCS), including development Ohio Replacement and UK Sucessor Programs,production and installation, training, and support equipment. The resultant contract will contain option line items for three additional years of sustainment effort. The anticipated award of the resultant contract is October 1, 2015. An Award Notice will be publicized, when applicable, along with the supporting Justification and Approval for OtherThan Full and Open Competition (J&A), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.301,5.303, and 6.305 under separate notice. This effort is inextricably linked to work already being performed by GDAIS under Contract N00030-14-C-0005,which was awarded using other than full and open competition.
