- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Program Executive Office (PEO) Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Navy Communications and GPS Navigation Program Office PMW/A-170 is seeking sources for parts and repair services for the Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP)s Small Ship Variant (SSV), AN/USC-69(V)1. The Government intends to procure parts and repair services for the SSV system through contracts and orders issued by either the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) or NAVSEA Weapons System Support (WSS), the responsible entities for providing parts and repair support for the 25 SSV systems currently in the Fleet. The purpose of the SSV on Navy Tier 1 ships (Patrol Craft and Mine Counter Measure Ships) is to augment the Navys current shipboard Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) and replace International Marine/Maritime Satellite (INMARSAT) and INMARSAT High- Speed Data (HSD). The CBSP SSV provides a significant increase in overall satellite Communication (SATCOM) throughput compared to INMARSAT. Technical documentation pertaining to the CBSP SSV Request for Information (RFI) that is designated Distribution Statement D will be made available on a separate, secured, access- controlled website. In order to request access to the secured website, contractors shall complete the "CBSP SSV Bidder's Repository NDA" posted on the SPAWAR E-commerce website, and return the signed NDA to Kenneth Nickel at kenneth.nickel@navy.mil. Each company may request NESI access for up to two representatives. Each user is required to be a U.S. DoD contractor and have a valid DoD or ECA issued PKI certification to gain access to the website. Please see the e- commerce attachment entitled "CBSP SSV RFI" dated 05 February 2015 for a complete description of the process required for obtaining access.
