- This procurement provides for the production of TRIDENT II (D5) missile body and reentry body hardware as well as services related to the support of deployed Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) systems. FBM Deployed Systems Support and reentry body hardware requirements are on a base-plus-one option year basis. Missile body hardware and System Support completion requirements include a base year only. Pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(4), the Government intends to conduct negotiations with Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. Primary work locations are Sunnyvale, CA, Kings Bay, GA, Cape Canaveral, FL, and Silverdale, WA. This NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses must be received within fifteen days from the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
