- On 13 January 2015, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Transatlantic Middle East District (TAM), awarded a firm-fixed price Single-Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) to IDS International Government Services, LLC to provide O&M services for critical infrastructure and critical facilities and national O&M training at various locations throughout Afghanistan. O&M services will be conducted at various ANSF Afghan National Army (ANA) and Afghan National Police (ANP) critical facilities and infrastructure located throughout the nine ANSF Regional Commands in Afghanistan. O&M services provide for life sustaining facilities, such as power plants, wastewater treatment plants, solid waste collection and disposal, water treatment, and HVAC maintenance and repair to facilitate ANSF security operations throughout the provinces of Afghanistan. The training program provides ANSF Facilities Engineering personnel with trained and equipped plant managers, Contracting Officer's representatives and quality assurance technicians, and preventative maintenance technicians who will be capable of overseeing critical infrastructure and facilities O&M service contracts, perform Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI), perform emergency repair actions, perform critical infrastructure system isolation, perform basic troubleshooting of critical plants and systems and perform fuel storage system operations.
