Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, has a requirement for subject matter expert services for research purposes. A fixed price contract with a base of one (1) year with two (2) 1-year option periods is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only a certain individual who has most recently served as CIDER Director possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. The contractor shall provide information dissemination subject matter expert services to Health Services Research and Development Service (HSR&D), Center for Information Dissemination and Education Resources (CIDER) including training and mentoring of the new Director of CIDER, as well as writing, editing, and project management for special information dissemination projects within CIDER. One special project will involve the planning, coordination, and implementation of a special research supplement for broad dissemination throughout VA. The supplement will be aimed at improving the quality of health care for veterans. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate only with this source. This is not a solicitation; it is notice of intent to sole source a requirement. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered. The submission of any data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
