Description

The VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) San Juan, Puerto Rico intents to solicit a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the Preventive Maintenance and Repair for the Audiology Service at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System located at 10 Casia Street San Juan PR 00921. The contractor shall provide all inspections and maintenance services in accordance to the manufacturer's service manual instructions and procedures. Contractor shall clean, calibrate and adjust all components to maintain the equipment within manufacturer's specifications, level of performance and accuracy. Contractor shall perform at least two (2) preventive maintenance services per system per year from the Award Date in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and procedures. If updates to manufacturer's requirements and/or recommendations occur, contractor must assure compliance with these requirements. The period of performance for this procurement will be from April 01, 2015 or date of award if later, through March 31, 2016, plus four (4) one (1) year renewal options that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. A Request for Proposals (RFP) for this service is estimated to be released on or about 02 March 2015. Solicitation is being conducted using the policies of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for evaluation and award prescribed in FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. Award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offer. The RFP VA-248-15-Q-0378 will be advertised as Small Business Set Aside. North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this procurement is 423450, and the size standards 100 Employees. Only offerors from those firms regularly established in business providing this type of service will be considered by the agency.
