Description
THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUEST FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This sources sought synopsis is in support of a market research project for the Texas Military Forces to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for Tactical Bump Helmets, and to determine if this effort can be a Small Business Set-Aside. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 339999 which has a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. The Government is interested in all businesses to include 8(a), small business and small disadvantaged business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. The specific requirement for this effort is as follows: Tactical Bump Helmets - 22 each Tactical Bump Helmets must meet the following criteria: --DOT 4 Standards for both road and safety and for confined spaces entry --Must accommodate tactical headset earpiece and microphone --Lightweight carbon fiber shell or similar for impact protection --Liner made of comfortable padding and wicking material --Removable rail system for wide range of mounting accessories --Compatible with standard 3-hole NVG shrouds, to include W shroud designed by Wilson --Interlocking and adjustable head and chin buckle strap for one handed adjustment and secure fit **For comparison purposes, the helmets should be comparable to, or exceed the qualities of, the Team Wendy Exfil Carbon Tactical Bump Helmet BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
