- Description
- The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Office of Purchasing and Contracts (OPC) has a need to continue an existing service supporting the NIH Clinical Center Medical Record Department (MRD) 3M System as well as support current and upcoming technologies within the NIH Office of Directors (OD), MRD. 3M Health Information Systems, Inc. supports and provides maintenance for the existing health information management products and as such is the only vendor situated to provide an update to these products due to code ownership and other system interoperability issues. There are many pre-existing interfaces previously built within this infrastructure which will not require rebuilding and/or retesting. The software is proprietary and includes all required functionality. The extensive resources utilized to build and establish these complicated interfaces are integral to the hospital's research and clinical data retrieval needs. The NIH, CC, MRD's intent is to procure as overall 3M platform upgrade from version 7.2.422 to version 7.5. It is NIH/CC/OPC's intent to sole source the requirement to: 3M Health Information Systems, Inc. 575 West Murray Boulevard Murray, UT 84123 The NAICS code is: 325520. It is anticipated that one purchase order will be issued for one time implementation and training. This is not a Request for Quote. Sources interested in this requirement must provide a statement of capabilities in sufficient detail to determine if the requirements of this synopsis can be met. Responses must be in writing and must be received within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based on responses from this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No phone calls will be accepted.
