Description
The U.S. Army Health Care Acquisition Activity (HCAA), Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award an interim indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract on a sole source basis to Stericycle, Inc. 28161 North Keith Drive, Lake Forest, IL 60045-4528. The requirement is for non-personal services to provide RMW services throughout the Continental United States. Services include removing, transporting and disposal of regulated medical waste generated by U.S. Army Medical Command Medical Treatment Facilities, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research Facilities, Armed Forces Medical Examiner System, and the U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command's. These services must be provided in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations to include the processing of chemotherapy trace waste, pathological waste and Ebola Virus Disease. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562211 Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal. The CHCC intends to award a contract no later than March 26, 2015. It is anticipated that the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract will have a period of performance of April 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015. The CHCC intends to solicit and negotiate only with Stericycle Inc. under the authority of 41 United States Code 1901, implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A solicitation will not be published. However, any quotes, proposals, or capability statements received by close of business on March 26, 2015, will be considered by the contracting officer.
