- *ORIGINAL SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AMENDED TO INCLUDE BOTH SDVOSB AND VOSB FIRMS: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY NOR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST. THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) who currently and regularly perform the installation of elevator equipment, specifically upgrades to current elevator equipment. Project Location: Lake City VA Medical Center, 619 S. Marion Avenue, Lake City, FL. The Lake City VA Medical Center, Lake City, FL, has a requirement to upgrade seven (7) elevators. The upgrades include, but are not limited to: motor and/or pump replacement, controller replacement, car door replacement, wiring and cable replacement, installation of new operating panel, flooring, all necessary electrical, communications, elevator commissioning, alterations, removal of existing structures, and all requisite general conditions. The NAICS code for this project is 238920 (Other Building Equipment Contractors). The small business size standard is $15 MILLION. Per VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 836.204, the construction estimate is $2 MIL to $5 MIL. 1.SDVOSB and VOSB firms must have three years of successful experience installing elevator equipment. 2.It is preferable that the SDVOSB or VOSB have successfully completed as least two (2) elevator projects in medical facilities. 3.If requesting consideration as a joint venture, the SDVOSB or VOSB must demonstrate completion of similar projects with that same joint venture partner. If responding to this notice, the SDVOSB of VOSB firm will include documentation to substantiate the aforementioned requirements.
