Description
This is a sources sought notice to determine the availability of potential sources having the skills and capabilities necessary to provide Technical Fire and Core & Combined Space Rescue Training to the personnel of the Butler Fire Station located at the VA Medical Center in Butler, Pennsylvania. All interested vendors are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought including commercial market information. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Hub zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned small business, FSS/GSA contract schedule holders or large business) relative to NAICS 611519 - Other Technical and Trade Schools, Size Standard $15.0 Million. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will need to respond to the future solicitation announcement. For purpose of this Sources Sought Request for Information, provide the information requested below. The VA Medical Center - Butler, Pennsylvania are seeking sources for a potential contractor to provide Technical Fire and Core & Combined Space Rescue Training. Interested sources are required to submit an e-mail delineating qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing artificial limbs. Responses to this notice should include the following: 1.Company Name. a.Person of Contact, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address b.DUNS Number 2.Socio-economic status (e.g. SDVOSB, VOSB, Woman-Owned, etc.). 3.Do you currently hold any contracts providing these services (federal, state, local agency or private facility)? If so, include facility, contract number, dollar value, points of contact, email addresses, telephone numbers of individuals that can verify this information. 4.Include past experience in performing these services to the VA, other Government (Federal or State) agency, or for a private facility. Include facility, contract number, dollar value, points of contact, email addresses, telephone numbers of individuals that can verify this information 5.Are you available to provide services throughout the Philadelphia and Coatesville VAMC Catchment Areas? The Philadelphia VAMC services Veterans in Fort Dix, NJ, Gloucester County, NJ, Camden, NJ, and Horsham, PA. The Coatesville VAMC services Veterans in Spring City and Springfield, PA. 6.What is the timeframe required to initiate service? 7.What is your companies experience in providing similar services which demonstrates firm's ability to meet the requirement? Contract Title. Confined Space Rescue Training 3. Background. This contract is for two sixteen hour confined space classes and two sixteen hour testing sessions. 4. Scope. The VA Butler Healthcare Fire Department is requesting a certified instructor/contractor provide the following for each of the two shifts; Two (2) Technical refresher training courses (16 hrs. each) plus two (2) Core & Confined space Rescue Level 1 &2 certification test (up to 16 hours each), beginning on a mutually agreed date and for a period of 32 total hours with testing for each shift (16 hours of refresher training plus 16 hours of certification testing per shift). Certification testing will be in accordance with NFPA 1006. Twelve (12) students successfully completing all testing requirements will be awarded national certification through Pro board or IFSAC. 5. Specific Tasks. Provide two sixteen hour confined space refresher classes and two sixteen hour testing sessions. Deliverables: Provide all training materials for each student Ensure training is taught by an experienced instructor Communicate with COR when planning courses to be taught, and for testing 8. Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Government-Furnished Information (GFI). N/A 9. Other Pertinent Information or Special Considerations. Refresher Training and Certification Testing must be scheduled and coordinated to accommodate both fire station crews. a.Identification of Possible Follow-on Work. N/A d.Inspection and Acceptance Criteria. Acceptance will be measured on 100% certification of the 12 VA Butler Fire Department personnel. 10. Risk Control Fire station crews work shifts vary from 48 to 72 hours and training will require advance coordination for 100% training for all crew members. ? 11. Place of Performance.
