- Description
- The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Pacific intends to procure on a full and open competition basis, a firm-fixed contract for the Bus Driver, Safety Attendants and Safety Aide Services in Okinawa Japan to support dependent students. The DoDEA Pacific Okinawa District operates approximately 69 school buses including 13 microbuses servicing 13 schools in Okinawa. Performance Work Statement will be included in Request for Proposal (RFP) Number HE1260-15-R-0002. The initial period of performance is from 01 August 2015 through 31 July 2016 with four one-year option periods. The RFP will be posted in the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about 1 May 2015 to close 30 days after issue date. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency by the RFP closing date. Proposals shall be submitted as specified in the RFP. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Items and FAR Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiations. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) to receive any contract award or payment. Information on SAM registration can be obtained at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Please contact SAM customer service at (866) 606-8220 regarding questions/problems. Inquiries may be submitted in writing via e-mail to Miyoko.hokama@pac.dodea.edu. This is strictly a synopsis to inform industry about an upcoming requirement. The government will not respond to any inquiries received prior to the issuance of the solicitation and no proposals will be accepted based on this pre-solicitation notice.
