Description
RFI RFI Attachment 1 RFI Attachment 3 HSCG23-15-I-EXPANSIONSHELVES Request for Information (RFI) - - - BACKGROUND This RFI is part of a market research effort by the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Office of Contract Operations, Formal Contract Division II, on behalf of the USCG Intelligence Information Systems Processing Center (I2SPC). In 2013 the USCG Maritime Awareness Global Network (MAGNet) program procured three Network Appliance (NetApp) FAS 2240-2 storage arrays to build their storage enclave for both their classified and unclassified development and continuity of operations concerns for the I2SPC. The FAS 2240-2s provide approximately 22 TBs of storage capacity per array. MAGNet's data storage needs have grown and now require an increase of usable space by a minimum of 10 TBs on each of the FAS2240-2 storage arrays. The USCG now seeks to expand or replace its current system to meet the new required minimum needs. - - - RESPONDING TO THIS RFI The USCG is seeking RFI responses that analyze a total system replacement approach (see the minimum specifications for total system replacement in Attachment 1) as well as an approach that expands the current system without replacing the current configuration completely (see the minimum specifications for current system expansion in Attachment 2). When responding to the RFI, please include the following information: A) A one page cover letter that provides a brief summary of the response highlighting the system replacement approach as well as the system expansion approach. B) A more thorough description of any information relative to what products/technologies are currently available to meet the minimum specifications (replacement as well as expansion). C) If multiple products/technologies are presented by the same reply, the responses to this RFI should be specific to each product/technology. D) Provide any digital photos and/or digital videos of the products/technologies in operation if able. E) Please provide an estimated price for both proposed solutions (the replacement as well as the expansion). F) The business size and business category information for your company. G) Please limit electronic responses to no more than 3 pages per product/technology. The I2SPC program intends to use the information collected from this RFI to conduct a systems analysis that evaluates the merits of refreshing and/or replacing existing system components to achieve the minimum specifications. As such, your responses are very important. Send your responses to this RFI to James.R.Robinson@uscg.mil before the closing time of this RFI. - - - SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION This RFI is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute an official solicitation. No contract will be awarded on the basis of responses received to this notice alone. No compensation for any responses to this RFI shall be paid by the Government and by responding to this RFI your company accepts all financial costs for its response.
