- The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S. Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) Munitions Engineering Technology Center (METC), is seeking market research on businesses who have demonstrated experience in providing support for the design/development/fabrication and fielding of items in support of various Manned/Unmanned, Armament, Weapons Vehicles and Munitions Systems. RDECOM-ARDEC is responsible for the research and development (R&D) design, fabrication and testing services of various developmental armament systems/armament systems components/munitions/munitions systems components that solve the present armaments issues such as material degradation, decreasing item weight, vehicle integration, range extension, mission/role development for an ordnance item, processing & fabrication updates/improvements, jamming, ammo storage & loading. Requirements for such items shall include (but not be limited to) fabrication and/or development of Remote Weapon Systems (RWS) systems/components, fabrication and/or development of munition/projectiles and their respective component fabrication and/or development of hybrid/transforming projectiles that may transform into Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) projectiles, fabrication/ development of items in support of helicopter missions/operations, mechanical/ operational/wind tunnel testing of components/complete systems and fabrication/ development of advanced platforms in support of lightweight and/or advanced systems (or subsystems) for manned and unmanned vehicles. Armaments/armaments systems and munitions/munitions systems requirements will mainly involve (but not1 be limited to) mortars, tank munitions and artillery (60mm, 81mm, 120mm and 155mm). However, at times, armaments/armaments systems and munitions/munitions systems requirements will involve medium caliber items (25mm, 30mm, 40mm and 45mm). The Contractor shall perform a wide variety of production and manufacturing fabrication related operations tasks such as (but not limited to) machining, welding, soldering, heat treating, plating, stress relieving, fixture design, plastic molding/machining and progressive die development/manufacture. The primary purpose of this survey is to identify businesses that would be capable of performing this requirement. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertaining to experience on previous projects, specific work previously performed or being performed and any other specific and pertinent information submitted. All information is to be submitted via email at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity, large or small and a copy of the most recent System for Award Management (SAM) certifications and representations. Please provide the name of the company, address, POC phone/fax number and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions by email only. Interested firms/companies are encouraged to submit their capabilities and qualifications. This is a Sources Sought/Market Survey Announcement and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFP), nor is the Government obligated to issue an RFP/RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
