- The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends serve as a sponsor of the start-up pavilion and pitch fest event at the International Society for Technology in Education's 2015 Conference (ISTE 2015) on June 28 - July 1, 2015 in Philadelphia, PA. ISTE 2015 is the premier venue for showcasing education tech products and services to a highly targeted audience of tech-savvy educators and education leaders. Its expansive expo hall puts innovative ideas on full display before more than 14,000 educators, 5,000 industry education tech representatives, venture capitalists, government officials and other leaders in the education market. NSF funds companies that develop technologies for reaching and learning. It is essential that our current grantees keep their finger on the pulse of technology by participating and for educators and leaning professional and help contribute to evolving technological advances by forming new companies and learning about the NSF Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program that can catalyze these new advances. The ISTE Conference and Expo is the largest and most comprehensive educational tech conference in the world. NSF's participation at the ISTE 2015 ED Tech Start-up Pitch Fest pavilion can help enable this to happen. ISTE will be presenting an Ed Tech Start-up Pitch Fest in 2015. The Pitch Fest will feature rapid-fire presentations by selected start-up companies taking part in two preliminary rounds to earn the right to advance to the Pitch Fest finals. Under this order, NSF will receive, among other benefits: demonstration pods for each of the seven (7) NSF Phase I grantees which includes free power and hardwire internet access in the pavilion. The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to sponsor with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for information purposes only.
