Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE IAW FAR 15, Request For Proposal (RFP) VA259-15-R-0400 This document supersedes the previous presolicitation for VA259-15-R-0243 and serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a construction project - Project #575-14-828S; Elimination of Domestic Water Dead End Lines: The Contractor shall expose, modify, remove, replace and/or relocate existing domestic water lines in Building 1 Grand Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center (GRJVAMC), 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado according to contract documents and specifications. The intent of this work is to eliminate hot, cold and hot recirculating piping that is nonfunctional and removing points of cross connection between the piping systems. The scope shall also remove / replace galvanized piping and improve efficiency of the hot water recirculation system. Also, modifications to the hot water recirculation system includes the installation of a duplex pumps. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA building codes. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a standard size of $15 Million. The magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to expose domestic water piping in areas as noted on contract drawings of the building, and to modify, remove, replace or relocate existing domestic hot water, cold water, and hot water recirculation piping as indicated to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA will issue a RFP on or about May 13, 2015 via FEDBIZOPPS.gov. A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, the date, time and location will be posted in the solicitation.
