- The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) intends to award a sole source, FFP purchase order to Oracle using Simplified Acquisition procedures for a Java SE Support. Java SE is designed to enable you to develop secure, portable, high-performance applications for the widest range of computing platforms possible. Java SE Support provides: • Immediate, 24x7 email and phone support for mission-critical applications • Direct access to secure versions of older releases of Java SE via My Oracle Support • Rigorous and on-going regression testing and fixes for EOL'd versions of Java SE • Revisions, interim releases that contain critical and security updates • Faster access to fully tested releases in days or weeks • Expanded support for new hardware platforms, operating systems, desktop managers, and browsers The OCC intends to purchase Java SE support for a period of performance of May 19, 2015 through May 18, 2016. This acquisition will be procured under 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a Request for Quote, Proposal or Invitation for Bid. Solicitation documents are not available and telephone, fax or email requests will not be honored. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. Interested parties may submit their capabilities package to darryle.brown@occ.treas.gov by 3:00 p.m., May 19, 2015; however information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. A redacted copy of the justification prepared for this procurement will follow at a later date.
