- Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to Vemco, Div of Amirix, 20 Angus Morton Dr., Bedford, NS, B4B0L9 Canada, procure 90 VEMCO transmitter tags. Vemco products must be procured to take advantage of the existing networks of receivers in the Gulf coast and Mississippi River basin. Vemco transmitter tags uniquely meet the government's requirement based on their compatible and interchangeable with existing equipment. Vemco is the sole source and manufacturer of Vemco telemetry transmitter tags. The Government intends to acquire this commercial item using FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 11:00 a.m. CST on Fri, May 29, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Robert.J.Jones@usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
