- Description
- This is a synopsis for commercial construction prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 5.2, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation, W91SMC-15-R-0005, previously advertised under solicitation W91SMC-14-R-0002, is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-81. This procurement is 100% set aside for total small business concerns. See FAR 52.219-6 Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside (Nov 2011) for the entire clause. Small business concern, as used in this clause, means a concern, including its affiliates, that is independently owned and operated, not dominant in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, and qualified as a small business under the size standards in this solicitation. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall not be considered. The NAICS code is 236220 and the small business size standard is $36.5M. The magnitude of construction is $5-$10M. The Period of Performance for this effort is 365 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The work requirements to be performed by the offeror consists of providing all plant, labor, new and current material, transportation, equipment, tools, appliances, supplies, services, permits, insurance, bonds and supervision necessary to complete all of the work as identified in the Specifications and Drawings to Renovate Building Envelope, P-1 Hangar at the 183D Fighter Wing, Springfield, IL. The solicitation and subsequent amendments will be issued via FedBizOpps at http://www.fbo.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation, specifications, plans or bidders mailing list will be issued from this office. Telephone requests will not be accepted. You must register on the FedBizOpps.gov website in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. The SAM site is https://www.sam.gov/index.html. The solicitation is attached and it is important to read the solicitation COMPLETELY. The government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this solicitation. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time.
