Description

RFP with Clauses DOL Wage Rates SCOPE OF WORK STATION PORTAGE HOUSING SLIDING DOOR REPLACEMENTS PART 1 OVERVIEW 1.1 The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform the work as described herein. All work shall be conducted per this scope of work and all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes and directives. This summary is not all-inclusive and delineates only those work items deemed as major to the contract. Ancillary work items not listed below, though necessary to attain the completed project, shall be included in the contract. PART 2 LOCATION OF WORK 2.1 USCG Station Portage, Chippewa Trail, Dollar Bay, MI 48822. Housing units 22900, 22910, 22950, 22960, 22970. PART 3 PREPARATION 3.1 Contractor is responsible for any permits that may be required by Michigan state law and any local regulations. 3.2 The contractor, his employees and sub contractors shall become familiar with and obey all station regulations. PART 4 DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED 4.1 Remove and dispose of current sliding patio doors in housing units mentioned in part 2.1. 4.2 Replace old doors with new white vinyl insulated patio door. 4.3 Install with new casing and trim out caulk for exterior and interior. 4.4 Install weather stripping on newly installed doors. 4.5 Remove and properly dispose of all trash and debris pertaining to the contract work from the limits of government property, as well as all adjacent affected areas at the end of every workday. Disposal shall be in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. PART 5 SCHEDULING 5.1 The contractor shall perform all site work during the normal operation hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Monday through Friday except during federal holidays. 5.2 Scheduling and any deviations from normal working hours will be discussed with BMCS Iversen (906) 482-1520 and agreed upon by all parties concerned. 5.3 Those who desire access to the housing units on Station Portage for bidding or work are to contact BMCS Iversen (906) 482-1520. PART 6 MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT 6.1 The Coast Guard will not provide any materials or equipment. The contractor shall supply all materials and equipment needed. 6.2 The contractor's equipment shall be conspicuously marked for identification. PART 7 ACCEPTANCE OF WORK / QUALITY ASSURANCE 7.1 Prior to the acceptance of work by the Coast Guard the contractor shall arrange through BMCS Iversen a review of work completed to ensure work satisfaction as well as proper clean up. Completed work shall meet the written scope of work. Any work that does not meet the approval of the U.S. Coast Guard representative shall be immediately corrected. This contract will require contractors to pay their laborers and mechanics employed under this contract no less than the locally prevailing wage and fringe benefits for the corresponding work on similar projects in the area.
