Description
Davis-Bacon Wage Determination SOW Appendix C SOW RFQ R15PS01233 This RFQ is to replace and repair damaged and deteriorated portions of the entire 2.6 miles of fence (see map). Wire will be replaced on the entire 13,915 foot length (2.6 miles) Complete re-construction of the fence is required on 10,031 feet (1.9 miles). An estimated length of 3,884 feet (.74 mile) will require only wire replacement. H-braces are required to be built throughout the entire fenceline including the wire only replacement sections. H-Braces will be installed at every beginning, ending, corner, gate location, high spot, low spot, and at a maximum of 200' - 250' over straight runs. There are a few sections of the fenceline that contain segments where the t-posts and braces are suitable to stay in place. These areas will be identified onsite with the GOTR and the length total to remain in place is represented in the 3,884 foot section of fencing where wire only is required. Lengths of fence and sections of fenceline where H-braces and T-posts are acceptable have been utilized in the estimated totals. Tree limbs and brush that have grown into the fence line will be trimmed back 2' from center line of fence. Trimmed material can be stacked for wildlife use or habitat. Several creeks pass under fence line and these areas will require fence crossings that restrict public and livestock entry, but allow for debris flow during periods of high rain runoff. Corner posts will be required at obvious corner sets, end posts and supports at each of the gate locations. (estimate 5 gates). All of the wire on the entire fenceline will be replaced. The Fence is to be 4-strand, with top wire smooth, 2nd and 3rd line barbed, bottom line smooth. 12.5 gauge, 4 pt.for barbed, 10 gauge galvanized twisted cable for barbless wire. T posts will be 1.33 heavy gauge, 6.5' in length, 4' above ground. Fence line will be cleaned and prepared by a Bobcat Tractor or similar piece of equipment with a small blade attachment and bucket recommended, to make a fence line pad only. Staging of equipment and materials will be inside of fence line. All materials and equipment shall be secured by Contractor after hours.
