This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Background: The Memphis VA Medical Center (VAMC) Research and Development Department (R&D), 1030 JEFFERSON AVE, MEMPHIS, TN 38104 is seeking a source to accomplish gene expression analysis and use of a LightCycler ® 480 or equal. Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. NAICS code: 621511 and small business sized standard is $32.5M NOTE: Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry www.vetbiz.gov. Project requirements: This includes four tests and access to instruments as described below. The preferred method/instrument type is the LightCycler ® 480 (LC480) Instrument; however, all responses will be reviewed. Tests and access to instruments listed are the expected frequency during a one-year period. 1.Standard Sequencing (VPR); 400 tests 2.Sequencing Difficult To Sequence, Complex, Secondary Structure; 50 tests 3.LC480 384-Well Plates or Equal; 10 tests 4.LC480 96-Well Plates or Equal; 10 tests 5.LC480 or Equal Real Time PCR, Instrument Machine Time; 20 occurrences If samples are ready for pick up by 3:30pmC, test results are required by 3:30pmC the following business day. Test results will include quality control reports for each test. Memphis VAMC R&D testing will take priority over other customers. Access to the instrument will be for all investigators 8:00amC thru 4:00pmC, Monday thru Friday Anticipated period of performance: Is expected to begin on July 1, 2015 thru June 30, 2015 plus four (4) one-year options. Other important considerations: Cite any other information that is necessary for potential respondents to understand the nature of the potential requirement or proposed acquisition. Capability statement /information sought: Response to this announcement shall not to exceed 10 pages and should include the following information: 1.A tailored capability statement indicating the firm's ability to provide the product and related services 2.The respondents' DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., SDVOSB/VOSB, etc,) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code and government contract number if applicable. 3.Information should be provided electronically in a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.
