- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to issue a firm fixed price (FFP) contract in accordance with FAR part 12, acquisition of commercial items, to Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) Inc. of Germantown, MD, on an other than full and open basis. DRT is the only known source with the ability to meet all the below requirements. This contract is for two Software-Defined Radios (SDRs) that are identical to those currently in theater. The SDRs currently in theater are from DRT Inc. These SDRs will be used for training of UAS operators prior to deployment to become proficient on the SDRs they will be using in theater. The proposed contract will require the awardee to submit two SDRs that are ready for integration into Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and capable of intercepting specific signals and locating the source of those signals. Additionally, the radio frequency (RF) devices shall be equipped with the required operating software and special circuit board required for power/controlling the antenna and power amplifier. The specialized circuit board shall have the necessary integration capabilities with the UAS models currently deployed in theater and UAS models under development. The SDR antenna cannot affect the air vehicle's standard operation and flight capabilities. The estimated release date of the solicitation is on or about July 8, 2015, with an estimated award date of July 13, 2015.
