- This project is set-aside for Small Businesses. The NAICS code for this project is 237990, Other heavy and civil engineering Construction. The small business size standard is no greater than 36.M in average annual receipts. Only offers from firms that are certified to meet both Small Business status and the size standard will be considered. FAR description of format at 5.207(c) Description of Work : The intent of this contract is to secure services to restore approximately 100 feet of stream channel and stabilize headcuts on an unnamed intermittent tributary of Reed Creek in Wolfin Main Meadow and to restore five headcuts of approximately 40‐100 feet long, 3-6 feet deep, and 6‐8 feet wide in Wolfin North Meadow. In addition to the headcuts restoration in Wolfin North Meadow, subsoiling will be performed on approximately 0.5 acre as well as tree removal to reduce meadow encroachment. Treatment of headcuts involves filling of the incised stream channel with soil to raise the stream bed, reshaping the stream channel and placing rock in certain locations along the stream channel for stability. Associated restoration tasks include spreading of wood straw and/or slash in disturbed areas; borrow sites and staging area(s) restoration; temporary access route restoration; and road dust abatement. Estimated period of performance will be 20 days. The Government's estimate is between $25,000 to $100,000. Location : The project is located on Stanislaus National Forest, Groveland Ranger District. From the Town of Tuolumne, take Cottonwood Road (1N04) and drive approximately 20.0 miles until hit Rd 2N14 on the left. Drive Rd 2N14 for approximately 4.0 miles until hit Rd 2N59 on the right. On Rd 2N59 go approximately 100 feet, Wolfin Main Meadow is on the right, just east of Rd 2N59. For Wolfin North, go back to Rd 2N14 and go approximately 0.5 miles until hit Wolfin North Meadow on the right. The solicitation package will be uploaded when ready, approximately July 7 2015. The date of award is expected to be within 10 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and possibly changed in one or more amendments. The purpose of this notice is to meet the FAR 5.201 and 36.213-2 requirements. It is the contractor’s responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendments.
