Description
Line item 0002: QUANTITY AMOUNT HAS CHANGED FROM 1 TO 2. THE NEW SOLICITATION DUE DATE AND TIME HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 6 JULY 2015 @1100 am EST. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS INFORMATION NEEDED: Please provide name and contact of automatic temperature control vendor for the Building Management System serving this air handling unit and exhaust fan system being replaced. Note Performance Work Statement (PWS) Section 2.0 and the specifics of Section 4.6. Note, a summary of applicable AHU44 Control Points is attached, with required BMS compatibility information, to furnish and install new. INFORMATION NEEDED: Provide a sequence of operations and control diagram for the control of this new AHU and Exhaust system as we cannot program, control or commission the system without this information Note Performance Work Statement (PWS) Section 2.0 and the specifics of Section 4.6. Note, a summary of applicable AHU44 Control Points is attached, with required BMS compatibility information, to furnish and install new to existing control wiring. New replacement sensors will replace old sensors and will function with the existing control sequence. INFORMATION NEEDED: Provide sequence of operations for the smoke control function of this system. The VA will identify the duct mounted smoke control wire pair used for VFD safety interlock circuit, to disable the VFD run enable - fan motor(s) shut-down. INFORMATION NEEDED: Provide name and contact for the fire alarm vendor that maintains the fire alarm system that this AHU and exhaust fan are tied into. AHU44 is not connected to the building fire alarm system. INFORMATION NEEDED: Please provide specifications for the exhaust fan including performance data, CFM Requirements, and cut sheets. The existing exhaust fan is a Cook model 270CPV specified at 2HP, 7800 CFM delivered at ¾ in. wc., belt drive, 750 RPM, 480VAC 3P INFORMATION NEEDED: 1. The cut sheet for the Daikin AHU indicates a VFD is to be provided on or internal to the unit. Is this VFD, provided with the unit the same VFD indicated on the Price/ cost sheet?? 2. Please clarify/ verify that the VFD indicated to be provided on the price/ cost schedule is for the exhaust fan or AHU as there is only one VFD indicated to be provided on this price/ cost sheet. Two VFD's for fan motor speed control are required, one for the AHU supply fan and one for the Exhaust fan. INFORMATION NEEDED: Are control valves, control damper actuators, air flow measuring stations, and other controls to be replaced or reused? Refer to RFI #01 and #02. Existing chilled water valve, located in return line of chilled water supply lines will remain as-is. New pipe installation to facilitate installation of air handler will begin after the valve assembly. If a heating coil is included in the new air handler, new pipe, modulating control valve and DDC actuator are required to be installed utilizing existing supply lines in mechanical room.
