Description

The Department of the Army, RI Army National Guard, USPFO for Rhode Island intends to negotiate a Sole source commercial service with supply with University of Rhode Island to provide billeting and meals for the 2015 Leapfest Competition. This proposed procurement is for billeting and meals that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than July 3, 2015, 10:00 a.m., EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the descretion of the Contracting Officer. Point of Contact is Lori Ann Zolofra, Purchasing Agent, email: lori.a.zolofra.civ@mail.mil In accordance with FAR 6.302-1: Due to the location of Leapfest, the lodging requirement needs to be within 10 miles from the Drop and Pickup zones for the Leapfest Competition. URI is the only agency that can meet all requirements of the army/dod personnel, in one location, with overnight housing and meals in one package and that they can accommodate two hundred and fifteen beds for 8 to 15 nights.
