- DOL Wage Rates Request for quotes, SF18, Return SF18 with your bid by email, mail or fax as soon as possible. 1.0 SCOPE OF WORK: REPLACE HVAC MOTOR CONTROLLER AND BOTH MOTORS IN HANGER MECH SPACE. 1.1 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, engineered drawings, permits, and supervision necessary to perform the work as described herein. All work shall be conducted per this scope of work and all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes and directives. This summary is not all-inclusive and delineates only those work items deemed as major to the contract. Ancillary work items not listed below, though necessary to attain the completed project, shall be included in the contract. 1.3 SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor shall remove and replace TB Woods Motor controller and two Dayton electric motors. Contractor will also troubleshoot and repair Carrier roof top A/C unit (compressor B), and adjust all controls as needed. Work will take place on base at the USCG Air Station Traverse City, 1175 Airport Access Rd., Traverse City, MI. 49686. 1.4 DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED: 1. Provide and install 1 new TB Wood Controller Model #WFV40150-N1 (460 volt) or equivalent. 2. Provide and install 1 Dayton 7.5HP 3PH 220 volt electric motor, Model #3KW40A or equivalent. 3. Provide and install 1 Dayton 15HP 3PH 460 Volt electric motor, Model #5W318A or equivalent. 4. Adjust all setting and controllers as needed. 5. Troubleshoot and repair roof top Carrier A/C unit compressor B, Model #38AH-054-600. Compressor B fails to start once the controller call for cooling from both compressors. 6. Adjust A/C settings and controller as needed. 7. Provide start up and operating training for up to 3 Coast Guard personal. 8. A minimum of one year service warranty on equipment and work is required. 1.5 SITE VISIT: 1. Contractor is to make arrangements with MKC Ponder 231-922-8261 and/or MK1 STEVENS 231-922-8265 for a site visit and to install new equipment on site after receiving notification from the Contracting Officer to proceed. 1.6 MILITARY REGULATIONS: 1. The contractor, his employees and sub contractors shall become familiar with and obey all station regulations. 2. All personnel employed on the project shall keep within the limits of the work and avenues of the ingress and egress, and shall not enter any other areas outside the site of work unless required to do so in the performance of their duties. 3. The contractor's equipment shall be conspicuously marked for identification. 4. There shall be no smoking in any Coast Guard building and only in designated areas. 1.7 WORK HOURS: 1. The contractor shall perform all site work during the normal operation of hours, 0800-1600 Mon-Fri except during federal holidays. 2. Any deviations from normal working hours will be at the discretion of MKC Ponder and/or MK1 Stevens. 1.8 CLEAN UP OF WORK AREA: 1. The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all trash and debris pertaining to the contract work from the limits of government property, as well as all adjacent affected areas. 2. Disposal shall be in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. 3. Any area affected by trenching by the contract work shall be restored to pre-construction condition. 1.9 ACCEPTANCE OF WORK: Prior to the acceptance of work by the Coast Guard, the Contractor shall arrange, through MKC Jesse Ponder or MK1 Nicholas Stevens, a test of the equipment to ensure proper repair and operation.
