- Scope of work for replacing three boilers This is a Procurement Opportunity with Red Rock Job Corps Center / Adams & Associates Inc. and not with the U.S. Department of Labor. Project Summary: General Notes Apply to each boiler listed deficiency: 1. This project will impact the heating of 3 buildings. Contractor shall coordinate all boiler shut downs with the maintenance department. 2. All components of the boilers shall be salvaged to the operator/owner. 3. Contractor shall provide a base bid for each identified deficiency listed below. Each Bid shall include a break down of each component and a schedule for the deliverables for each, such as; mobilization, demolition, shop drawing review, boiler delivery, installation, final walk thru, and substantial completion. 4. Contractor Point of connection will be determined during the mandatory pre-bid walk through. 5. Contractor must meet all local, state and federal codes for boiler installation. 6. If any of the boiler system can be converted from #2 oil to propane, contractor shall note this on the base bid. All conversions will be coordinated with the operator for installation of new propane tanks. The removal of the old oil tanks will be bid as a separate line item; an add alternate to the proposal. 7. All new boilers shall include but not limited to new boiler, burner assembly and controls. All components shall meet sustainably requirements set by Executive order 13514 and 13423. 8. Contractor shall provide a minimum of 4 hours of training for all boilers. 9. Contractor shall provide piping as needed to connect the operator's chemical system into each boiler 10. Contractor shall connect existing fresh water supply as per manufacturer requirements. 11. Contractor shall provide a one year workmanship warranty, boiler or burner shall have a minimum of a 5 year warranty. 12. Contractor shall calibrate each boiler and make sure it is in running condition for a minimum of 30 days. All required re-calibrations or non-functioning boilers will be repaired at the contractor's expense. 13. Contractor shall install all new gauges as required for the operator and maintain boiler pressure, high and low limit switches, etc. 14. Contractor shall wire new burner to existing shut off push button located on wall. See attached Scope of Work for details.
