Description
1. Notice. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared IAW the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are hereby requested. 2. Solicitation Number. This solicitation No. M67004-15-Q-1047 is being issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation incorporates all mandatory commercial item/service provisions and clauses as of Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-83, dated 2 July 2015, and Defense Acquisition Circular (DAC) 20150626, dated 26 June 2015. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is: 541330 “ śEngineering Services in the specific discipline of Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture ť. The small business size standard is $35.5 million. This is a small business set-aside. 4. Requirement. The Government ™s requirement is for an analytical feasibility study in support of the Marine Corps ™ Prepositioning Program. This requirement is performed by firms regularly engaged in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. (see PWS attachment) 5. Description of Services. Professional contractor Naval Architect and Marine Engineering support service is needed in the preparation of four (4) feasibility studies for modification of Prepositioning (PM3) T-AKEs such that they can serve a fourfold purpose: (1) Stow, deploy, and recover the Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS); (2) Deploy the Amphibious Bulk Liquid Transfer System (ABLTS); (3) Stow, deploy, and recover the MPF Utility Boat; and (4) Stow USMC MPF Class VII vehicles below decks.
