- The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration intend to award a sole source contract to Management and Training Corporation, 500 North Market Place Drive, Centerville, Utah 84014-1708. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential and career technical and training services to approximately 60,000 disadvantaged youth each year at 125 Job Corps centers nationwide. This requirement is for the operation of the Gary Job Corps Center located in San Marcos, Texas. The anticipated period of performance is a 12-month base period; with one, 6-month option period. The requirement includes the provision of academic, career technical, career success skills, and career development training and related support services for an estimated 1610 residential students. The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and services to all students as applicable. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and not a request for proposals. Therefore, no solicitation documents exist for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement including costs by 12:00PM EST by August 7, 2015, that provides sufficient details for consideration by the Government, via Email transmittal to Greg Sabater at Sabater.Gregory@dol.gov. Within the Subject line of your Email, reference DOL-ETA-15-N-00052 Gary Job Corps Center. The determination not to compete the sole source contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
