Description
NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following: Quantity one (1) Each First Article Unit and up to an option quantity of sixty four (64) Each additional units of MK9 Torpedo Support System Assemblies which shall consist of two (2) sets of stacked Bottom, Middle and Top Supports and an Afterbody Adapter. The assemblies shall be built in accordance with the Performance Specification and Drawings to be included in the solicitation. In order to receive the drawings and specifications, the company must be registered in the Joint Certification Program (JCP). Once the solicitation is released and once the company is approved for the JCP the company will have access to the drawings. This procurement will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is being solicited as a 100% small business set aside. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 332710, Size Standard is 500 employees. A firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order is anticipated. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the website. The anticipated posting date of solicitation N66604-15-Q-2973 is on or about 7 August 2015. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be established in the RFP. The Government intends to award a single FFP contract to the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable offer. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the agency. This solicitation and any subsequent amendment will be posted to the FEDBIZOPPS website. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring this site for any amendments.
