- Limited Source Justification for this requirement. List of Open Market items in this requirement. DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY NAVAL MEDICAL LOGISTICS COMMAND NOTICE OF INTENT The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) - Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized). The proposed source is Sirona USA, 4835 Sirona Drive, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28273-3277. The requiring activities are several Navy Medical Treatment Facilities. The proposed acquisition is for dental prosthesis computer-aided design/manufacturing chairside dental systems. This requirement is part of Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) procurement. Only one award will be made as a result of this synopsis. The majority of the items required for the robotic medication dispensing solutions system are available on Federal Supply Schedule contract number V797P-3170M. However, there are some components not available via the FSS. Please see attached list of Open Market Items. This purchase is supported by a Limited Source Justification (LSJ), see attached. The components listed in this notice are not included in the FSS but are part of the system as a whole. Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. Upon delivery, the vendor shall be responsible for uncrating the unit/system and transporting it through the facility to the location of intended use for installation, and removing of all trash created in this process. If interim storage is required, the vendor shall make arrangements for the storage. The system shall be compliant with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements to market and deliver medical products for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. The claims made for the product shall comply with the regulations of the FDA with respect to products for marketing and delivery of a medical product for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. The system shall be installed in compliance with OSHA requirements.
