- Request for Information (RFI) Task Management Solution This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. The purpose of this RFI it to acquire knowledge and information for market research purposes that can provide the U.S. Department of Education a Task Management software and/or solution. Responses to this RFI are requested to answer the following questions to better understand the availability of sources and solutions available in the marketplace. Address the following questions and limit responses to no more than twelve (12), single-spaced pages. 1. Company Name: 2. Company Address: 3. Company Website URL 4. Company Point of Contact (name, telephone number, email address): 5. Business type (Other than Small Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business; 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, etc.): 6. Brief summary of the organization's specific experience providing Task Management solutions to both government and non-government entities. 7. GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) holder? If so, FSS Number: 8. Describe your company's experience in delivering Task Management software/solution to the Federal Government. 9. Describe previous contracts for Task Management software/solutions to include contract type (Firm-Fixed Price/Time and Materials, etc.), contract total value, business entity your company contracted with, brief overview of Task Management software/solution. 10. Describe your company's ability to provide Task Management/Collaboration/Dashboard software, specifically if these solutions are Commercially Available Off the Shelf (COTS), Configuration/Customization (if any) requirements: In addition, please describe your company's solution regarding the following areas: a. Describe your solutions ability to be customized (Open Source, Application Programming Interface [API], etc.). b. Describe your Task Management software/solution features. c. Describe your Task Management software/solution's ability to upload and store attachments and any limitations. d. Describe your Task Management software/solutions version control features for documents. e. Describe your Task Management Collaboration features (Real-time, etc.) f. Describe your Task Management software/solution dashboard features. g. Describe your Task Management software/solution workload management features. h. Describe your Task Management software/solution financial management/budget control features. i. Describe your Task Management software/solution portfolio management features. j. Describe your Task Management software/solution workflow/approval process features. k. Is your Task Management software/solution Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 compliant? l. Is your Task Management software/solution FISMA compliant? m. Does your Task Management software/solution have two-factor authentication capabilities? n. Describe any other features that are important with regards to a Task Management software/solution. 11. Describe how your Task Management software/solution is hosted. a. Cloud Based: i. Is your Task Management solution marketed as Software as a Solution (SaaS)? If so, is your solution FedRAMP certified? ii. Does your Task Management solution utilize a cloud hosting service/provider? If so, are the FEDRAMP certified? b. Locally Hosted: i. Describe any hardware requirements for hosting a Task Management software/solution on a local server. c. Describe your Task Management software/solution ability to be hosted locally and then transferred to a cloud or in reverse. Information submitted in response to this Request for Information is to be used for planning purposes only. This notice shall not be misinterpreted as a request for proposal. This notice does not obligate the Government to solicit or award a contract. This notice does not restrict the Government in its ultimate acquisition approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any preparation costs. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the government will accrue as a result of this a response to this RFI. Please submit all responses by 8:00AM EST, 10 August 2015. Please submit all questions/responses via email. The Department does not intend to post a Question and Answer amendment to this notice. The Department intends to take those questions as items that will be utilized to strengthen any potential Request for Proposal/Solicitation documents. Respondents may be contacted for additional information or may be asked to provide a free demo. A letter stating your interest or requesting a copy of any solicitation is NOT sufficient to determine contractor capability.
