Description
Corp of Engineers Parking Lot Restoration Specs. The National Park Service has a requirement for the following project: Repair Storm Damage to Jacob Riis Parking Lot and Seawall. This notice serves as the FAR 5.2 requirement for a pre-solicitation synopsis of a proposed contract action. The National Park Service anticipates soliciting proposals for this work utilizing procedures for a competitive SBA 8(a) acquisition. As such the acquisition could be offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) firms as determined by the SBA. The National Park Service anticipates posting the solicitation for this requirement beginning two weeks from the date of this synopsis. Location: Gateway National Recreation Area Title: Repair Storm Damage to Jacob Riis Parking Lot and Seawall Park and PMIS: GATE-195485 NAICS Code: 238110 Estimated Cost Range: $4,500,000 - $5,000,000 Estimated Period of Performance: November 2015 - May 2016 Project Description: Project will provide repairs to parking lot cracks only where safety concerns arise, re-line approximately 700 lf and replace approximately 280 lf of damaged pipe to provide a leak free pipe wall that results in the smallest possible reduction in hydraulic capacity compared to current conditions, install two (2) check valves on parking lot drainage outfalls at the seawall, repair parking lot sinkhole, fill underwater holes/voids to remediate subsidence slumps behind the seawall, repair damaged and missing railing, repair seawall concrete where railing attachments have failed and replace missing / storm damaged site furnishings and trail segments.
