The Department of Veterans Affairs, Hudson Valley Healthcare System VA Medical Center is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing Logistics Services. It needs to have under-bed lighting. A bariatric bed is needed that is expandable and can hold 850 pounds. This bed will adjust to a higher 30" for caregiver ergonomic safety. It will also drop low to 9" to reduce fall impact. The bed needs to expand to 48 inches. The mattress is specific to the bed. There need to have a special mattress included which will be an alternating pressure system to reduce the chance of pressure ulcer development. The bed needs to have a built-in scale, caregiver lock out controls, needs to interface with the call bell system. And have a bed exit alarm. The bed will move to ahead elevated cardio chair position or go into Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positions. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 337910. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing via email and must be received not later than August 3, 2015 10:00 AM EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification//socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 337910. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
