Description
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) intend is to compete the delivery order under existing Basic Ordering Agreements with Huntington Ingalls Incorporated, Newport News Shipbuilding (HIINNS), 4104 Washington Ave, Newport News, VA 23607 and Electric Boat Corporation (EB), 75 Eastern Point Rd, Groton, CT 06340. HIINNS and EB are the only Naval Sea Systems Command Qualified sources to perform the required work on nuclear submarines. This will be a level of effort delivery order. The requirement is for accomplishment of specific depot-level repair, maintenance, and modernization for steam plant systems, electric plant systems, and auxiliary ship systems, that supports the reactor plant, and associated reactor safety systems for submarines at PSNS & IMF Bremerton, WA. This nuclear-related effort requires trade labor that is trained, qualified, and authorized to perform maintenance on submarines. This requirement involves Main Sea Water, Auxiliary Sea Water, Condensate and Feed, Reduction Gear, Ships Service Turbine Generator, Main Steam Valve Repairs, Main Engine Work, Engineering Space Grooming, Reserve Feed Water Tank, Other Internal Tanks, Heat Exchanger Repairs/Cleaning, Switch Board Inspect/Repair, Electrical System Repair, Precision Machine Work and Ships Air and Hydraulic Systems. Requirement: provide six (6) "A" Qualified Radiological Controls Technicians, one (1) Radiological Controls Technicians Supervisor, and one (1) Marine Chemist The Period of Performance for Radiological Controls Technicians and Radiological Controls Technicians Supervisor requirement is 28 October 2015 through 29 May 2016. The Period of Performance for Marine Chemist is 03 November 2015 through 29 May 2015 HIINNS and EB, if interested in this work, are required to notify the contract specialist, Ms. LeAundria Shaheed, by the required response date of 24 August 2015.
