- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a non-competitive firm fixed price purchase order with Keyence Corporation of America for VHX-5000 digital microscope. None of the other individuals or companies surveyed possesses the expertise and product line to meet the needs of this procurement due to proprietary type of microscope and additional hardware that interfaces with existing systems. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements received no later than the due date of this announcement will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement that will be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received by email at carlos.bernal@navy.mil no later than 12:00PM EST,15 calendar days after this posting. A formal solicitation will NOT be issued since this will be a Sole Source Procurement. This announcement constitutes the only notice of this procurement. All contractors and individuals doing business with the Federal Government MUST be registered at the (SAM) System for Award Management database to be considered for award. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements can be located via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov/portal. Responses that are non-compliant with any of these instructions may be rejected without further consideration for award. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that responded to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
