- The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, Ft. Detrick has a requirement to provide non-personal services training to the Department of Clinical Investigation at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii 96859. Natick Contracting Division intends to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price Type sole source contract to The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital, located at 700 Children's Drive Columbus, OH 43205, per the authority as prescribed in 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The service being requested is for the Train the Trainer (TTT) program by Nationwide Children's Hospital consists of three training sessions with physicians from the Nationwide Children's Hospital. This training will be on ultrasound guided foreign body removal (UGFBR), which is state of the art technology that can accurately guide the removal of foreign bodies, while minimizing the discomfort, scarring and potential tissue damage from conventional surgery. The TTT program trains physicians how to perform UGFBR and how to train other physicians. The Nationwide Children's Hospital is the only provider of this Train the Trainer (TTT) program for Ultrasound Guided Foreign Body Removal (UGFBR). This training program is mission essential because it will train TAMC physicians on cutting edge technology and will lead to improved quality of care for our patients. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 541712 and the size standard is 500 employees A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. While this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, responsible parties purporting to have the necessary qualifications with the ability perform to these state of the art technological training services, must submit official documentation to this fact within fifteen (15) days of this notice. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 5:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time, 26 Aug 2015.
