Description

VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System Research Department intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the University of Pittsburgh, pursuant to FAR 6.302-3; sole source contract with the Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Healthcare System's Affiliate, the University of Pittsburgh to acquire specialized research and development engineering and clinical services through the department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology that will include individuals who all have a background and/or experience in research fields related to Rehabilitation Engineering and/or Assistive Technology, including but not limited to working with/in wheelchairs, prosthetics, and in clinical rehabilitation settings. The VA Pittsburgh has an affiliate agreement with the University of Pittsburgh already in place. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Tuesday, August 18, 2015, 4:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government
