- Under the Authority of Federal Acquisitions Regulation, Part 6, Subparts 6.301 and 6.302, the U.S. Census Bureau, on behalf of the Bureau for Economic Analysis (BEA), intends to contract with IMS Government Solutions, Inc. on a sole source basis to provide one time data purchase for all Remittance Claims Data and Corresponding Charges Data from 2007 to 2014 for any provider identified as an Orthopedist, Cardiologist, Internist, Pediatricians, and Obstetricians, and gynecologists to track actual prices charged at the level of the physician. BEA's mission is to obtain detailed information on payments to physicians and the utilization of services at physician offices. This data will allow BEA to learn if more timely and accurate estimates for the physician sector may be derived from these data. BEA has determined that IMS is uniquely qualified to provide the data services, because they are able to provide historic information for physicians back to the 2007 census year. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016. Telephone request will not be honored. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence, that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit pricing and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet BEA's needs. This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received within 15 days from the publication of this synopsis, a contract may be issued to IMS Government Solutions, Inc., without further notice.
