- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation Request for Quote for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format of FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation will be issued for the solicitation number NIAID15-RFQ-JDB1743590 Request for Quote. This is a request for proposals. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-83. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a small business set-aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516, which has a size standard of 500 employees. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in support of the Laboratory of Viral Diseases (LVD) has a brand name or equal requirement in a accordance with FAR 52-211-6 Brand Name or Equal, for a Gradient Fractionation System, Data Capture Software with a syringe pump and a fraction collector that are standard parts of the system and are designed to interface with all the other components of the system as well as integrating with the data capture software and who provides the capability to puncture the tube from the bottom. This includes Installation and training on the system from Biomedical Research and Development Laborator (8561 Atlas Dr. Gaithersburg, MD 20877-4135). Biomedical Research and Development Laborator is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Gradient Fractionation System and is the only known source that can provide and install these accessories without. The government will award a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor. The FOB point shall be Origin.
